Barlow Tyrie’s Adirondack Armchair design is abundant with history, originating from the Adirondack Mountains in New York State.
While the design is chunky, unique and distinctive, as a lounge chair it is very comfortable along with its high curved back and angled seat which allows its user to rest and relax in style and luxury.
The precursor to today’s Adirondack chair was designed by Thomas Lee in 1903. He was on vacation in Westport, New York and needed outdoor chairs for his summer home. He tested the first designs on his family and they later became a popular choice for outdoor enthusiasts throughout the USA and Europe.
Crafted from teak which is a tropical hardwood with natural durability and weather resistance.
Please Note: The footrest and side table seen pictured are not included but are available to purchase separately.
